- Goliath frogs grow to sizes of 17 to 32 centimeters (6.7 to 12.6 inches) and range from 0.6 to 3.3 kilograms (1.3 to 7.3 pounds) in weight.

- Dorsal side of the body of Goliath frog is covered with green colour skin that has the granular texture. The underside of the body is yellow-orange coloured.

- Unlike most other frogs and toads, Goliath frogs have no vocal sac and so courtship does not involve displaying any calls.
