  • Goliath frogs grow to sizes of 17 to 32 centimeters (6.7 to 12.6 inches) and range from 0.6 to 3.3 kilograms (1.3 to 7.3 pounds) in weight.

  • The Goliath Frog can be found in the areas of Cameroon and Guinea, near waterfalls and rivers.
  • Dorsal side of the body of Goliath frog is covered with green colour skin that has the granular texture. The underside of the body is yellow-orange coloured.
  • The diet of goliath frogs includes Diorama warming – vegetation that grows in water and is eaten by the tadpoles, while the frog eats insects, worms, small amphibians, crabs and other crustaceans, turtles, fish, and snakes.
  • Unlike most other frogs and toads, Goliath frogs have no vocal sac and so courtship does not involve displaying any calls.
  • The tadpoles are independent and dine on only plants found in the area of the rivers and waterfalls.
